‘Can Change' – Aerosol Art Project at the Northumbria Police Headquarters Ponteland

This project has become an annual event, first started during the summer 2008. The project was facilitated and managed by Creative Ginger in partnership with the Northumbria Police Force and NEXUS. During the two day event, young people involved had a unique opportunity to work with local graffiti artists such as Mr Zee from the ‘Third Team Kings', to design and paint large murals. The aim of the event is to breakdown barriers and perceptions between the Police force and young people.

Aerosol Art Projects

Creative Ginger is responsible for developing and facilitating a large variety of Aerosol Art-Based Projects, in partnership with other agencies such as; Scotswood Area Strategy, Gateshead YIPs, Arson Task Force, Schools, NHS – Chlamydia Screening and the John Willies Sams Community Centre. Commission Work

In between managing and facilitating workshops, I am constantly developing my own art skills and practice through commission work, personal art projects and through my involvement with a voluntary art co-operative ‘The Ghetto Method'. Through the co-op, I have experience of participating in and assisting with organising high profile events, such as the Ghetto Method Art Show, various Art Jam's at the Newcastle based ‘the End Bar' and various pubs and nightclubs.
